Dear Editor of ADC,
I am glad that ADC has been actively involved in promoting dance arts in Malaysia. From announcements to various articles was published in the website . Unfortunately, when writers and contributors are given the mandate to critic and write from their point of view, the assasination of any individual / organsation's image is done intentionally or unintentionally. I was reading an Article by Fairus on Gema Zafana in the latest article collection in ADC.
This is what he have written regards Asthana Arts. "Tambahan pula, kelemahan penari dari kumpulan Astana Arts Creations amat mencacatkan persembahan kerana penari-penari seolah-olah tidak cukup latihan dan banyak melakukan kesilapan. Teknik tarian bharatanatyam kumpulan ini tidak bagus dan cuba diselubungi oleh peragaan kostum dan kesimpulannya persembahan kumpulan ini boleh dikategorikan sebagai persembahan amatur." Fairus would not understand when Asthana Arts entered this productions when TFA withdrew themselve at very last minute. At the same period most of our dancers are away to Sabah for Xmas Open House with Istana Budaya. I dont have to explain this to anyone. And Fairus to comment on the Bharatanatyam techniques without knowing real situation and labelling us AMATUR is so uncalled of as we had three Arangetram done dancers, two dance teachers, 5 bharathanatyam students in Gema Zafana and as i choreographed everything was fine. Even the music composition was assisted by Asthana Arts.
We in Asthana promote this sites in all our program book for Panchasunthara, Thirunanngai and the upcoming Mahakavi. This also based on mutual understanding supporting each other. But if such comments and negative toughts on Asthana Arts is written in the site, how this is possible? We even invite representative from ADC to watch our programs. Art worlds in Malaysia need support and not so called " big Artisan" to condemn and critisize the productions easily. Only the producers and the cast would the pain in making the production to be staged. I really appreciate, ADC would look into this / removing the pharagraph that mention Asthana in a such way. If the ADC feel, the dignity of the writer should be taken into consideration, it is fine with us. To stand on our branding and image of the studio, We will disassociate from ADC directly. I appreciate a favourable reply from your side."

1st of all, my name is Fairuz not Fairus. Second of all, i didn't watch gema zafana in Istana Budaya. And third, obviously I didn't write any review on performance that didn't go...and to be fair to u...i c.c this email to Ravi Shankar who accused me on this. Actually, I am only a blogger who write for fun and only post my review on my blog; www.kontemporarike.blogspot.com . It's funny if he refers all this to me. I only wrote one review on Asthana performance which is last year, Panchasutra. You can check on my blog regarding this.
I feel sorry for him causing this whole drama. And if he really read this review from the ADC web, advise him to read again and check who write that.
